Vendor Spotlight: Adam Trujillo Photography

Good afternoon bloggies! Ugh it has been far too long. I am back and as fabulous as ever! What have you all been up to?? What TV are you watching??

TV Talk: Still obsessed with The Voice, I wish I was more talented. The Bachelor  shocker this week, RIDICULOUS. I think I watch The New Girl every week for my dose of hilarious. Finally I can count on more than just 30 Rock and Modern Family  to be truly funny. Real Housewives in Africa … safari never looked so wild.

OK Enough TV, as much as I think I could go on for an hour…

News at Enchanted: Wedding season is certainly creeping up on us and we are getting BOOKED. The brides are so fun and fabulous this year and our fairies are getting so excited. Although it means a little less sleep the fun we have creating and designing for the big day, is priceless!

And when planning that big day, you need a great photographer to remember every detail! The photos are the part of the day that stays with you. At Enchanted we have the pleasure of working with many great Vegas wedding photographers, but today we are spotlighting Sin City born and raised Adam Trujillo.

The moment you get to AdamTrujillo.com  you can’t help but notice how clean, sleek, and fresh the feel is. The wedding shots are stunning, romantic, and artistic. You are able to get a feel for the bride and grooms style. There is nothing more fun than a trash the dress shoot! Capturing natures elements combined with a pristine white gown makes for amazing photography.

Not only does Adam do wedding photography, his boudoir shoots are so sexy and sensual. Each woman’s vulnerability and sultry side is photographed brilliantly.

As always we asked Adam Trujillo our vendor spotlight questionnaire and here are his answers.

1) Name: Adam Trujillo

2) Company: Adam Trujillo Photography

3) How many years in business? 3½ on my own

4) When you were 10 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up? Pro Skater

5) One TV show you never miss? Dexter

6) What is something most brides do not know before they come and meet with you? What really goes into professional photography and the post production.

7) Favorite restaurant in Vegas? Tough one… Geisha Steakhouse  or Kabuki  at the moment.

8) Best part of your job? Being behind the camera, and praise from clients!

9) How many years have you lived in Vegas? Born and Raised!

10) Congrats on being a new dad!! Are you in charge of midnight feedings? Not anymore, I am blessed to have a great Woman in my life that takes that responsibility!

11) So after a little hunting it seems that your favorite band is the Deftones. Best Deftones concert you’ve ever been to?  Best ever was in Modesto, CA this was a small venue very intimate and where I would meet my love of my life. Now we are a family!

I also wanted to include a beautiful Valentine’s story. In honor of National Cancer Awareness Month and Valentines Day, the Cancer Treatment Centers of America surprised two married cancer patients with a 40th anniversary trip to Las Vegas for a vow renewal. William and Lynn Dochnahl of Oregon said “I do” round 2 at the Riviera last Friday. Their surprise trip will include fabulous dinners and fantastic Las Vegas shows. The fairies were so honored to be a part of this special occasion and to work with The Riviera Hotel & Casino, Riviera Royale Wedding Chapel, R Steak & Seafood, Executive Las Vegas Transportation, and Sumita Beauty.  For the full press release click here  and for more information about Cancer Treatment Centers for America click here.

Well happy Thursday my lovies. AND happy birthday to the brand new Princess of Sweden who was born today and doesn’t even have a name yet… (Wikipedia lies… I’m pretending its fact)!  Also have a cocktail for National Day in Brunei! Rule #76: No excuses, play like a champion!  We have 3 fabulous weddings this weekend!! So you can assume we will be busy little fairies. Have a fantastic weekend, filled with end of February fun!!  More next time!

Monday Funday!

Happy Monday!! Happy Monday!! (I sing this part to you all… don’t make it dreary!)

HOW BOUT THEM GIANTS!!!!!  A perfect Super Bowl, down to Tom Brady’s Hail Mary. I was slightly at the edge of my seat, but had every confidence in the Manning Dynasty to make it happen!

Our very own delivery driver extraordinaire Tom Carr of the Quitters may disagree with my above statements…. But I’m over it!

Also my lovely readers, please be prepared for my ranting and raving of The Voice. I try to keep my reality TV obsession away from you, but I am BANANAS for The Voice  (and most other reality shows haha) but nonetheless, I may sprinkle a little reality on the delicious treat that is the EFI Blog!

So I know we had a chat on Friday…. But your favorite Princess of Publicity is back for more! As bridal show season is coming to an end and the fairies are re-regulating their sleep cycles it is time for a little thanks to be given. No this isn’t my Turkey Day post round 2, although stuffing and sweet potatoes does sound divine right now!

Soooooo as I mentioned on Friday, the ever cutting edge and beyond trendy Las Vegas Seven , gave a brillz (brilliant in Perez Hilton  speak) shout out to our fabulous staff members Stacey Reddick and Robert DeTie. DeTie and Reddick got hitched at the 2012 Bridal Spectacular. SEVEN gave an awesome shout out to the rockers behind EFI as well including the Quitters , the Dirty Panties , and the Happy Campers.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the oodles of vendors who made Stacey’s and Rob’s big day, mega fabulous. So many people took part in the stunning event andLas Vegaswedding professionals were thrilled to put together every detail for the happy couple.  We had such a blast working on this ceremony with so many other talented and creative individuals.

So as it perfectly ties together we are going to feature our Vendor Spotlight today on Jeremy Morse of JMT Eventology. Jeremy worked to create a stunning spectacle for the happy couples “I Do’s”.

1)   Name: Jeremy Morse, Event Director of JMT Eventology.

2)   Company: First let’s explain what Eventology is.  It may be a new term for most but essentially it is the science of how demographics, personal beliefs, technology, and cultural traditions impact event design and production.  We believe all events should be more than arbitrary selections.  When properly orchestrated, planning and coordination is like a science and the product is an amazing celebration.

JMT Eventology – We are an event design and production company headquartered inLas Vegas,Nevada.  We are committed to inspire and create new trends in design with contemporary elements of culinary, beverage, entertainment, fashion, and service. We design and produce events tailored to your unique event specifications incorporating the emotional and tactile content to tantalize the senses.

3)   How many years in business? We have been planning the company now for a few years and began the process in April 2011.  Our goal was to carefully design each step of the process and made sure that what we created was an accurate representation of what we wanted the business to be.  While JMT officially debuted with its first event this January, our team’s combined background encompasses thirty years of experience in food and beverage planning, catering, interior design, and event production.   In addition to our experience we are active in the Event and Design Industries keeping a pulse on new and upcoming trends with memberships in ISES, NACE, and ASID and participation with the International School of Hospitality.

4)   When you were 10 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up? I grew up in a rural part of Missouri on a farm.  At first I wanted to be an astronaut and as I explored the steps for learning about space, science became a favorite subject of mine.  Realizing there were many science industries, it was physics that sparked me to learn more on the construction of buildings and spaces.  This introduced me to space planning and design.

5)   One TV show you never miss? I never miss Project Runway, a show that is inspiring in many ways.  Fashion is a huge inspiration for the rest of the design industries and is really very similar to the concept of designing an event.  It also introduced me to my new favorite store – MOOD!

Another I try not to miss is Faceoff which involves the creative minds of make-up artists.   I also really enjoy Grimm and Once Upon A Time.   Each of them gives me different ideas and inspirations through the stories they present.

6)   What is something most brides do not know before they come and meet with you? Many event companies focus on the coordination aspect of Weddings and events but our primary focus is on the design side.  While I can assist in the orchestration of the event my passion and forte is on first developing the idea and creating a cohesive vision.  Once this is accomplished, then I can discuss options of how to implement and produce the event.

7)  Favorite restaurant in Vegas? I like so many depending on my mood and dining preference. For a gourmet meal I like Sage and Guy Savoy.   What I really like the most are the smaller neighborhood restaurants like Marche Bacchus, DW Bistro, Paymon’s, and Origin India.  The best part of all of these places is the atmosphere enhances the food.

8)    Best part of your job?

  • Creating relationships with new people and being able to work with many creative partners.
  • Having the honor of designing spaces that have a unique emotional content using unconventional ideas.
  • Creating environments that have personality, character and style.
  • Being able to see the reward at the end where the client and all their guests are enjoying themselves in an environment I helped create.

9)    How many years have you lived in Vegas? In 2001 I moved to Las Vegaslooking for a career in the design industry.  After having an internship with a local architectural design firm I loved the opportunity to work on projects many people would be able to experience.

10) Something you would love to learn how to do? Every day is an adventure and there are so many things that life has to offer.  I love being creative and if I could develop and expand on another skill it would be to build custom furniture.  Taking an old used piece of furniture to refinish and reupholster it has its rewards.  You can make it look however you want and feel good about the accomplishment.

11) What do you miss most about life in Missouri? When you grow up in a rural area you sometimes yearn for the city lights and the hustle and bustle of the city.  What I miss is the familiarity and congeniality of being around my family and the rural life of being on a farm.  Also, I miss being near the natural green landscape and the ability to take a short drive to the Ozark National Scenic Riverways and the Mark  Twain National Forest.

12) Who else is a part of your team? Part of my business plan is to establish a team of creative partners and consultants.  While other businesses may refer to the people they work with as vendors, the word vendor has a connotation that these people are merely part of a business transaction.  For me, a creative partner is someone who you share a vision with – creating a cooperative working relationship with the common goal of delivering something amazing for the client.  As the company grows I would like to expand this creative partnership where we can share ideas and help bring the Wedding industry to the next level.

And now a special note from the Happy Couple:

We were so honored to be married at this year’s Bridal Spectacular. The creative genius of Michael Testagrossa of the JW Marriott and Jeremy Morse of JMT Eventology orchestrated a memorable and heartfelt event. Our son Ace was able to be a part of our wedding party and our nearest and dearest were in attendance. There were so many vendors who took part in making our wedding day so special. We would like to thank them all.  For more information on the Bridal Spectacular Wedding Experience please check the JMT Eventology blog.

Have a fabulous week my darlings!! Check again for all the news that’s fit to print, especially because V-Day is coming!! xoxo!

Things I want to talk about this week…

Good day mates! Another busy week at Enchanted is coming to a close, which means another busy week is beginning. Ahhhhh, that’s my little OMG Valentines is coming! As a newbie to the floral world, I’m realizing this is like the last week of pledging the sorority known as Enchanted Florist. Hours of sleep will be lost as every gal in the shop works to get every rose, and every bloom looking its best!

1)     Soooo… on that note. Valentine’s Day is coming!! Have you ordered your arrangement from EFI? We have delicious Ethel M’s Chocolates, stunning florals, and totally awesome Jessica Galindo Leather Couture. Place your orders early!

2)     We would like to totally thank Vegas Seven for featuring our totally awesome shop, our fantastic punk rock staff, and the wonderful marriage of Stacey Reddick and Rob DeTie. We wanted to congratulate the happy couple and their beautiful baby boy Ace. Also we wanted to thank JMT Eventology and the brilliant Jeremy Morse for his Artistic Design on the wedding and the fabulous Michael Testagrossa of JW Marriott for organizing the entire wedding!

3)     First Friday is here! Happy February! I don’t know what you are planning on doing tonight, but if it doesn’t include heading down the Arts Factory to hear the Dirty Panties rock it, cancel! All of the Enchanted fairies want to see you tonight at First Friday!! Check out the little one with blue hair, she does weddings and she’s rockstar… I’m still trying to be that cool.

Have an Enchanted weekend! Check in next week for 2 more fabulous Vendor Spotlights!!!

Vendor Spotlight: J. Anne Photography

We are starting vendor spotlights on our blog, to show off some of  our fabulous friends and to show you how talented they are! We are starting with the brilliant, hilarious, and totally adorable Jodi of J. Anne photography. The fairies had the pleasure of being stationed next to her at the Bridal Spectacular this past weekend. She is fun and witty, and I can totally see why brides would choose her! Her photos are fun, fresh, romantic, and whimsical. You can tell she is  a woman who loves what she does! Check out her super cool and clever website here, which is just what you would expect from her. So for our vendor spotlight we have a set series of 10 questions, followed by 1 or 2 more that are special for that vendor.

Here is our mini-questionnaire as answered by the fantastic Jodi Anne of J. Anne Photography:

1) Name: Jodi Anne Inouye
2) Company: j.anne photography ( Check out her amazing work here on her blog)
3) How many years in business?
Officially in bid-ness about three years.  Officially in the wedding business about one year.
4) When you were 10 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?
This is so embarrassing, but I would tell people that I wanted to be a pediatric cardiologist.  I was a complete smarty pants and just wanted to sound like I knew what I was talking about.  I’m jealous of my friend, Crystal, who used to tell everybody that she wanted to be the greeter at Wal-Mart when she grew up.  Now that’s a cool gig.  :)
5) One TV show you never miss?
Omg.  Hardest question on here… for reals.  The one show that I probably watch in “real tv time” is Project Runway — and maybe Design Star on HGTV.  My DVR is always brimming with tv saucy-ness.  I’m an admitted reality TV junkie; therefore, shows on the must see list are Real Housewives (all jurisdictions); Teen Mom; Dance Moms; Hoarders; Intervention; Scared Straight; Real World Road Rules Challenge (my husband will be mad at me… but he loves this one too!!)… Don’t count me out of the sitcom world though… I love Modern Family; Up All Night; Awkward; etc…etc…etc.
Now I sound like a total TV junkie!  In my defense, most of these shows are playing in the background as I go about my day and/or my last hour at night is spent cuddling with the hubs and catching up on the tube.
6) What is something most brides do not know before they come and meet with you?
Probably that I talk really fast, clap rapidly, and sometimes squeal when I get excited about something.  I absolutely adore photography, obvi, but photography is also a vessel that I use to express my love for several things in life.  I love love love design, of all kinds.  I love love love fashion (duh!).  Photographing weddings, styled shoots, and sometimes even families allows me to meld all of these loves.
My husband will vouch for this as his house gets redecorated at least once every six months… his wardrobe is constantly being scrutinized by his stylist… and the amount of photos in our house is kind of… well, obnoxious.
7) Favorite restaurant in Vegas?
I’m so… not a foodie.  If you were to ask what my favorite food is I’d probably say double stuffed oreos, macaroni and cheese, or a good turkey sandwich.  So, obviously, my choice for favorite restaurant isn’t as much about the food as it is about the vibe.  Vintner Grill in Summerlin is one of my favorite restaurants because it is the epitome of my style.  The food is delish too, but I spend my night imagining a bride and groom out on their patio, lit by the lanterns hanging from the trees as I photograph their intimate embraces with their guests… gazing at the perfectly distressed black and white hardwood floors… obsessing over the white decor with pops of green… and the mix of contemporary and traditional elements.  Hello, perfection!
8) Best part of your job?
Hands down.  The clients.  They become my friends.
9) How many years have you lived in Vegas?
I moved to Las Vegas in 2001 during my sophmore year of college.  I met my husband-to-be just a couple months into the school year, and we’ve been together and in Vegas ever since.  So, this August will be 11 years.
10)  Something you would love to learn how to do?
Cook.  Give me a recipe and I can handle myself in the kitchen, but I’d like to really know how to cook.  How to gaze into my pantry, see ingredients, and just make a meal.  My husband is a lover of the foods.  His idea of a fun night is to cook together.  I want to share this with him, but my ignorance in the kitchen hinders his idea of date-night.  For now, I just sit on the counter and entertain him with all of my witty banter and humor while he cooks for us… ha ha ha!!  :)
11)  Favorite Real Housewife and why?
Oh no… so hard… but I’ll have to go with…
New York Alumni — Bethenny Frankel is my girl.  She is witty, humorous, and straight forward.  Love her.  She invents alcoholic beverages for heavens sake… somebody give that girl a Nobel Prize!!  Plus, who isn’t a fan of somebody who despises Jill??
12)  How does one deal with the barking of a basset hound and maintaining 2 and soon to be 3 sleeping little boys? Are you supermom?
Supermom, I am not… but my life has surely been blessed with two (soon to be three) healthy children; two dogs; and a madly handsome and supportive husband.  In “supermom world” there are a lot of balls in the air… most of the time the ones that I let drop are the ones that my husband jumps right in to pick back up.  Laundry piles up… dishes take up real estate on the kitchen counter… and take out is ordered way more than Rocco Dispirito could ever handle… but at the end of the day I cuddle up into bed to watch a brilliantly executed reality TV show and I know that my kids are healthy, my husband loves me, and everything in that moment… is perfect.
So isn’t it obvious why we totally LOVE Jodi! Here are some of the amazing photos she took for us at the Bridal Spectacular as just a preview of how amazing her work is. Be sure to check out her website and her blog for more details

Things on my mind today:

Hola blog! I am suffering from a bit of writers block today, but that won’t stop me from whispering sweet nothings to all of you. So we will delve into…

Things on my mind today:

Here comes the bridal show! This weekend Las Vegasbrides from all over will be headed to the CashmanCenter(850 N Las Vegas Blvd.)  for the 2012 Bridal Spectacular. The fairies will be rocking out booth 506! Be sure to stop by for a look at the latest and most fabulous floral and décor for 2012. show will be open January 20th and 21st, Friday from 6pm – 10pm, and Saturday 11am – 5pm. Prepare to be inspired!

The fabulous Beni Velasquez, Executive Chef of Bar+Bistro at the Arts Factory (http://barbistroaf.com/)  will be appearing on the hit Food Network Show “Chopped” next week. “Chopped” is a cooking competition where Chefs from around the country compete in a series of elimination rounds creating an appetizer, entrée, and dessert with a new basket of mystery ingredients each round. Out of the final two chefs who compete in the dessert round, one is crowned the winner. Tonight there will be a Latin Band accompanied by the Chef himself! Head down to the Arts Factory for fun and dancing as local filming is done for “Chopped”! Check out the floral by Enchanted!

Golden Globes… OBSESSED.  So many spectacular fashion moments were had. The red carpet sizzled!  So I found  TWO fabulous blog posts this morning by Wedding Channel, ugh translating red carpet glam to wedding day couture is too thrilling.  From Julie Bowens princess moment, to a few spectacular nude illusions (Lea Michelle dazzled), and topped off with tulle, ruffles, and architectural elements (Sofia Vergara was flawless).  Each (well almost each) gown was beyond BANANAS! Read the posts, be inspired.

Amaluna! The brand new love story by Cirque du Soleil has been revealed. A trying love story, jam packed with shipwrecks, lovers, and goddesses it promises to be another fascinating spectacle. I can’t lie whenever I see a Cirque show, I spend the next two days contemplating what those acrobats eat and how are they so flexible and strong. It will be opening in Canada; however I’m sure it won’t take too long to get to Vegas! Check it out here.

Dennis Aldridge of the Coast 2 Coast Sports Academy delivered the most incredibly delicious cookies to the fairies today! Coast 2 Coast is an organization that brings recreational sports to children ages 3-15. Dedicated to helping children develop lifelong skills through team sports, Coast 2 Coast assists with food drives and after school programs for children in need as well. This fabulous organization raises money by selling the most AMAZING chocolate chip cookies I have had in a very long time, definitely better than anything my Mom could make (even though it is her birthday, I have to be honest). Learn more about Coast 2 Coast and get involved.

Valentines Day is approaching! I personally CANNOT WAIT to bring a box of tissues and cry for 2ish hours through the new Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum film, The Vow.  HOWEVER it is not too early to start thinking about all of the fabulous things you can send your Valentine. Flowers, chocolates, teddy bears, balloons, and fabulous leather jewelry by Jessica Galindo will be flying off of the shelves at Enchanted Florist. Make sure to order early! Stunning shades of pink, red, purple, ivory can certainly brighten your sweetheart’s day. So hop to it chap!

WILD. JUST WILD. Craziest shoes I’ve seen… maybe ever.

Have you seen the Five Finger Shoes? They are slowly but surely creeping up everywhere. Not just on the occasional daredevil. So I gave in and tried them on, weird. Like VERY weird. Do you wear them? Do you love them? I definitely think if you have long toes it is a bonus. But personally, my toes like eachother and I dont think separating them is a trend that I’m so on board with. Here Shailene Woodley wore them to a Golden Globes after party… not sure what I think.  But I love a girl who values comfort with her couture!

Finally I am SOOO pumped about Gordon Ramsay’s first Vegas restaurant opening at The Paris! I simply adore him.  Here is an article from the Casino City Times on the opening.

Happy Monday darlings! I will be in touch soon!!

Things I’m obsessed with this week…

FIRST OF ALL CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE WHO WON A 2012 BRIDES CHOICE AWARD. But the fairies are SUPER excited to announce that for the 4th year in a row we are a Brides Choice WINNER! SO FABULOUS! Thank you to all of our amazing brides and friends who support us! We love you!

Ok so. It is a quiet day at the shop. Did you check out the fabulous Winter Wonderland at First Friday? If you weren’t there and you are wondering why… well make sure to follow us on twitter @_Enchanted_, like us on Facebook, and join our mailing list for all of the fairy’s news and updates

.

Alright where were we: right! Things I’m obsessed with…

1) Gearing up for Valentines Day, fun fact ROSES ARE OUT of season on February 14th.  Dear Cupid, Poor planning. Love, the Fairies. So instead of roses, get more bang for your buck and consider a fabulous arrangement with tulips, sunflowers, hydrangea, and more!

2) All things vegan. The one man fairy on our team is giving a crack at a vegan lifestyle this week. Although his carnivorous cravings may be starting to get the best of him, the vegan movement is way popular at EFI. So if you are interested our very own Abby has created her own site dedicated to bettering your body and soul, check it out at http://omstateofmind.com/.

3) Golden Spoon, the super fabulous frozen yogurt place, has a graham cracker flavored yogurt. To say it is epic is really not doing it justice. Fun fact: Google Golden Spoon coupons and find great deals in your area.

4) TV IS BACK! I don’t know about you but I have missed my shows. I’m soooo over holiday specials. I love “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Elf” just as much as the next gal. But I needed my fix from Grey’s Anatomy this week… and it was EPIC. I’m so thankful that my Tivo is filling up! What shows are you excited about in 2012? I just tried Justified… I’m a little lost. SO thrilled about Debra Messing’s return in the all new “Smash”.

5)  Colored wedding gowns are my new favorite trend. The stunning mix of color and architectural elements are beyond brilliant. Here are stunning gowns by Chrissy Wai-Ching and seen in Rock ‘n’ Roll Bride. Check them out here http://www.rocknrollbride.com/2012/01/alternative-colourful-wedding-dresses-from-chrissy-wai-ching/. Another trend that is white hot, are Vera Wang’s BLACK wedding gowns. Here is a post from the Marquis of Fashion http://www.fashionblogblogger.com/style-blog/vera-wang-black-wedding-dresses. The mix of ebony satin, taffeta, and tulle is epic, creating a sense of sexual, sensual, mystery, and more. The wedding apparel is a choice that is the most epic fashion moment in a woman’s life. Clearly it is a time to be bold, beautiful, and all things fabulous! Now for my favorite trend in wedding gowns of 2012: BLUSH BLUSH BLUSH! I am completely bananas for the blush wedding gowns. Here is an article from Belle the Magazine http://www.bellethemagazine.com/2011/10/wedding-trends-blush-wedding-dresses.html#.TwsnHTWJdFs. I love the softness and romance evoked from the hint of pink. LOVE.

6)  HAPPY NEW YEAR! Is it time to stop saying that? What is the etiquette? Is there a day when we are too far into the new year to stop wishing it? I really don’t know. But I LOVE saying “Happy New Year” it’s an exciting wish filled with hope and wonder for what 2012 could bring. Ok, personal decision… I’m rockin the “Happy New Year” to Valentines. Or until people give me weird looks… either/or.

7) Time for the 7th inning stretch.  #21 on the Billboard charts is Jessie J’s “Domino”. Its my new favorite song to rock  out and work out too. It makes you push a littler harder in spin class…. trust me (my sore muscles are evidence).   Now get up and shake it out get rid of the Monday’s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJtB55MaoD0&ob=av2e.

8) A daily tradition at Enchanted Florist is my rant of the day. Every morning I discuss the world events that are irritating, frustrating, or simply mind boggling. For example during the holiday season, I had a really difficult time understanding antlers and noses on cars… actually I still don’t get it.  But having a moment every morning where you purge these thoughts gives you the chance to go into your day with a little bit more clarity. I highly recommend it to all.

9) Leather certainly has a reputation. The magnificent Jessica Galindo of Leather Couture came in to the shop today. Amazing work. Fun and whimsy will be hitting the shelves of EFI in our Valentines Day specials when you can get one of a kind Jessica Galindo rings and bracelets. You can check out her work at http://www.jessicagalindo.com/. Totally obsessed right now, she is so joyful and brought a fun break to our Monday morning.

10) Last but certainly not least, #10. The Holiday Season Movie spectacular at a theater near you. Ok so I haven’t seen everything that is out, but I am excited about what I have seen. Muppets, Hugo, Sherlock Holmes, Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and The Descendants. None of which disappointed. I LOVED The Descendants, not what I expected… I’ll preface with that. However I found the story moving, emotional, complex, and sprinkled with a few good laughs. Go see it, you will be glad you did. And George Clooney… too old to be my next boyfriend? Age is just a number, right? Ok and finally for the last part of my cinematic update, TITANIC IS BACK AND IN 3D. Many of you have probably seen the preview. I’m literally squealing with excitement whenever I think about it. I can’t bore you with my leo-bsession, thats TMI for a Monday morning.

Ok bloggies, I am off to the world of flora and fauna, a land filled with brides and bundles of fun. Have a fabulous week. Happy New Year. Check back soon for more of my wit and joy that I sprinkle upon you all.

Loads of delicious snacks are heading into the shop to fill your holiday gourmet gift basket orders.

Here are a few of our Winter 2011 original creations!

And now for the events!

Nikki and Mark Valenti said “I Do” in a Winter Wonderland at Emerald at Queensridge (http://emeraldatqueensridge.com/).  Hundreds of vendella and cool water roses were arranged with Bombay orchids and white lisianthus to create true masterpieces. The crystal accents were stunning and created a feel of opulence and elegance. Every detail was perfect, the day was truly stunning thanks to the fabulous Deborah James at the Pin Up Bride (http://www.thepinupbride.com/).  From every crystal to the fabulous hidden Mickey’s the Valenti’s had a magnificent day! Guests partied all night with the help of High Flyin Entertainment (http://www.highflyin.com/HighFlyin/Home.html). The epitome of the Valenti’s Winter Wonderland was the work of Ice Occasions (http://www.icevegas.com/).  LED Unplugged (http://www.ledunplugged.com) was on hand to make the event magical and Lighten Films (http://lightenfilms.com/), TSL Photography (http://www.tslphotography.com/), and Dawn from Shutterbooth (http://shutterbooth.com/las-vegas/) were there to capture every second of it.

Geri and her ARK Vegas (http://www.arkvegas.com/) team were a blast to work with on the Brownstein, Hyatt, Farber, and Schreck Holiday Party. The gorgeous purple centerpieces were a splendid combination of roses, mums, lilies, and lily grass. The arrangements were as fabulous as the party hosted at Staten Island at NY, NY (http://newyorknewyork.com/).

Working with Rachel Festenstein of the Las Vegas Senior Lifeline (http://www.jewishlasvegas.com/section.aspx?id=223), the fairies had the opportunity to create Hanukkah themed centerpieces for the Senior’s holiday party this past Friday. The white roses, bells of Ireland, and curly willow were a fun and whimsical way to bring in the holiday season!

December seems to be flying by at Enchanted Florist. Engagement season is certainly under way as brides are rushing in for consultations. We are certainly busy little fairies over here.

It is not too soon to start ordering holiday centerpieces and not too late to think about a fabulous custom wreath from Enchanted Florist. Check back with the blog this week for our very first edition of “Fairy’s Favorite Things…” Have a fabulous Monday!

Back in action!

Hello Blogosphere!! I have been out of the office and unable to get in touch! Hoping you are all fabulous and fully recovered from Thanksgiving as the holiday season continues to get closer.  Things are busy busy at the shop, we will be changing up the blog posts and adding a bit more to our efforts to “go social”. After a fabulous event with Constant Contact last week the fairies are revved up and ready to go! This week we have two holiday events as well as the Valenti Vow renewal. Here is a brief update of the events I missed telling you about. Check back this week for another fun post!!

Last weekend we had 1 wedding and 1 bris. Our fairies also delivered a little bit of holiday cheer as they decorated the Southern Highlands Golf Club. It was a pretty quiet week for the fairies, lots of centerpieces and daily arrangements were delivered throughout the valley.  Here is the brief recap of last week’s events:

Melech Bris: It was such a pleasure to work with Chef Eva of Wild Truffles and Tory Cooper on the Melech Bris. A beautiful baby boy was celebrated amongst elegant tones of coral, orange, and green. The white roses, premature green hydrangea, gerbera daisies, and wheatgrass came together beautifully. The centerpieces were bright, fun, clean, and fresh. The look was perfect for the affair.

Ocampo/Guel: Jamie and Gabriel chose to say “I do” this past weekend. They chose a beautiful combination of apple and truffle as they color scheme. The orchids, dahlia, roses, and hydrangea were stunning! Chocolate cosmos, black roses, and green hypericum came together brilliantly. It was a fabulous affair and we are so happy for this fabulous couple.

Southern Highlands: Glorious greens and reds spread the Christmas magic at Southern Highlands last Monday and Tuesday. Our fairies decorated stunning trees and various other décor to start the holiday season off right!

Things are slowing down on the events side of EFI as we are preparing to move into our brand new Enchanted Events space.

The fairies are already busy taking orders for wreaths and various other fabulous winter arrangements, order yours today! Have a fabulous week!

What are you thankful for?

This has to be my favorite week of the year! The turkey, the stuffing, the family and fun! Thanksgiving in my family is like all of the events we do here at Enchanted… so much planning and work goes into a meal that lasts 20 minutes. However the weddings and events last week will have oodles of photos and memories to last a lifetime. Shades of coral and purple, stems of roses and calla lilies left the shop last week.  4 Weddings and 2 events later, I’m here to show you the pictures and give you the details of these marvelous affairs! Here we go….

Pedroche/Salac: Amidst a sea of coral and white roses Geraldine and Michael Salac said “I Do” at St. Thomas More (http://www.stmlv.org/home.htm) and continued to dance the night away at DragonRidge Country Club (http://www.dragonridge.com) with the help of Sound Fusion Entertainment (http://soundfusionent.com) on hand to keep the guests on their feet! The stunning coral spray rose kissing balls were perfect for the adorable flower girls, and the fabulous coral rose bouts were different and bright. Fantastic photos of the event were taken by the always fun team of Orange Soda Photography (http://www.orangesodaphoto.com/).

Corporate Event: Last Friday we had the opportunity to work with the fabulous Danelle and her team with Kuoni USA(http://www.kuoni-dmusa.com/LasVegas.htm) on a great event at The M Resort (http://www.themresort.com/). The adorable centerpieces included Hypericum, Viking Mums, and Wheat. The fun mix of red, yellow, and greens gave a natural and organic feel to a fun and cheery centerpiece.

Accardi/Figgins:  Chone and his beautiful bride Claudia were wed last Friday at the Southern Highlands(http://www.southernhighlands.com/). The white dahlia, red roses, and ivory hydrangea were elegant and romantic.

Veilleux/Chomintra: Emerald at Queensridge (http://emeraldatqueensridge.com/) was host to Justin and Melissa’s wedding last Saturday. The rich shades of chocolate and ivory were accented with bright and vibrant green hues. The bark and natural accents gave the event a very rustic and earthy motif. Digs Videography (http://digsstudioblog.com/tag/las-vegas-videography/) and Cashman Photo (http://www.cashmanphoto.com/) worked together to make sure not a moment will be forgotten.

Miller/Misko: Fuschia, eggplant, amethyst, plum and violet. Purple was the color of the day as Ashley and Andrew got hitched yesterday. Shelly and her team at Canyon Gate Country Club (http://www.clubcorp.com/Clubs/Canyon-Gate-Country-Club) helped us to create the most fabulous ambiance. It was such a pleasure working with the completely brilliant Adam Trujillo of Imagine Photography (http://imaginephoto702.blogspot.com/) and the fabulous Brittney Belanger of Cravin Cakes Bakery (http://www.cravincakebakery.com).  The purple kissing balls and Picasso calla lilies were stunning and vibrant!

Andrew’s brother Jerry Misko, the acclaimed Las Vegas artist, will be taking up residence at the Cosmopolitan’s P3 Studio.  Check out a fabulous article about the artist and his work here.

Aliante Showcase: Enchanted Florist was invited to be a part of the Aliante Station (http://www.aliantecasinohotel.com/) Event Showcase this week.  The shades of royal blue were accented perfectly with the white calla lilies and the stunning Manzanita tree dripping with crystals.  The floral was beyond fabulous at the EFI table.
